Schreiner ProTech has launched a self-adhesive film for use in the automotive sector, which experiences technical challenges related to adhesion on oily, greasy and dirty surfaces. Protection Films are designed to ensure reliable covering, even in slightly oily applications, which the company says reduces the effort of cleaning components. Relevant parameters such as required tack force, temperature, bonding substrate and retention time are included in the development project. Solutions for non-residual, semi-permanent or permanent adhesion are possible. Thus, the films are equally well-suited for short-term use and for permanent coverings for different surfaces.
